Presence, real presence, created 19th century music. Composers were at liberty to hone their craft without a ceiling on their potential. The creation of architecture and the goods made for daily living were similarly brought forth and all three complimented each other. People lived smaller, simpler lives without a lot of external influence. Inventions were born out of proximate need, not out of a desire to influence unseen people.

Audiences were allowed to just be. Whether they were in a home or a concert hall, they enjoyed beautiful live music, having put the day’s labor aside. They felt what they were personally going through with each emotional change in the music, imagined up stories brought on by colorful passages of music and relished in the reactions of those around them.

Today, the ceiling on our potential has been shrunk down considerably. We’re told, let a device do everything for you, without telling you that your social skills and God-given talents are being diminished degree by degree. People are often in rooms together but their minds are elsewhere. Have you noticed that new music today is not anything like it was 100 years ago? Is architecture anything but mostly square boxes and primary colors? Is communication even personalized anymore?

19th century music marks the period that has the largest dynamic range, acoustically not electrically. You can turn up the stereo with electricity, but that’s not the same thing as using your body to sing or play acoustically from the softest to the loudest utterance God gave you. Anna has always felt her entire range of senses utilized while playing this music. And so can an audience if they all come ready to soak in the experience. Together, a fully present audience can feel what the music is conveying and take home an experience that is indescribable and long lasting.

Rebuilding Context for the Deepest Experience

Things of extraordinary value often get lost, damaged, diminished, or destroyed. Miss Greco has seen this in her own life time and again, and has always come back to this music. After 30,000 hours at the piano and major tragedy and loss, she knows what truly matters. Her passion and skill has deepened with time and she is so excited to share these incredible compositions with each audience member.

All we need is presence ~ it’s harder to achieve these days with over half the population involved in virtual reality anywhere and anytime. Anna has dedicated the rest of her life to providing an avenue for anyone who knows what being fully present is about or needs to know what they are missing.

Miss Greco is back in the music industry as of January 2026 after a career break and return to the West Coast. She is beginning her solo career after a many years as a collaborative pianist on the East Coast. She invites you to be involved in restoring presence by joining the member circle.
